JERSEYVILLE — Quietly Friday, the Germania Brew Haus opened its fourth local cafe at 309 N. State St., Jerseyville, in the former Jersey Hometown building.
At 6,000 square feet, the store is the largest at Germania Brew Haus, which also has locations in Alton, East Alton and Godfrey. The Jerseyville location is the first with a commercial kitchen that the company has been using since December to make sauces and syrups for its other locations.
The Jerseyville store will be open from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. seven days a week. It has additional space intended for use as a gift shop under Jersey Hometown. Germania has collaborated with Alton-based WOW Event Center to use this space for events, weddings, baby showers and other occasions. A drive-in is also scheduled for early May.
The first Germania Brew Haus opened in 2017 at 617 E. Broadway. In August 2020, the operators of the popular cafe decided to expand its operations with a drive-thru at 5775 Godfrey Road in Godfrey. In February, Germania opened a car-only facility in a freestanding building at the front lot of Eastgate Plaza on Illinois 3 in East Alton.
